(Temple of dawn) This famous symbol of Bangkok is situated diagonally across from the Grand Palace, on the opposite side of the Chao Phraya River. Its most outstanding feature is its 79 meters tall porcelain entrusted central pagoda. The temple was formerly in King Thaksin the Greats royal compound , and serves as the functional temple of King Rama II.
