Located at the beginning of Royal City Avenue (RCA), the large cool-looking building that houses Slim, also contains Flix and Slim’s livemusic part. In other words, there are plenty of options available.

Slim itself is a cool chic club divided into two sections. The first to fill up is the large indoor area. Here, set and mobile tables fill up with young people and their whisky bottles as the night sets in and the music gets louder. With midnight approaching, the place is packed with the young and the beautiful as all are dancing around their particular table with friends and strangers alike. When the inside starts to fill up, so does the tables in the other part of Slim – the outside. Here, the party starts out slowly as people sit around at their tables and have some drinks, again mainly whisky. As the night moves on, the mood increases until many people out here are standing up dancing as well. While Slim mostly plays hip hop, there are other options available. Thus, it dance music part called Flix spins the latest techno and dance tunes all night while the other end has a venue dedicated to live music and more subdued partying and a bit of relaxation is possible.
Slim reinvented itself a few years ago with a full make over and the crowds have been filling it up all week long ever since. It is especially popular with the younger Thai’s, so expect them to dominate the crowd. The main drinks are bottles with mixers, mainly Whisky, though beer is available and especially Flix does serve cocktails.

For a viable alternative, the next door RCA club Route 66 should provide much of the same. Alternatively, you can head to soi Thong Lor / Ekamai where clubs like Song Saleung and Blog 9 offers similar parties. You can even get a slightly older more chic, less hard partying crowd at Escobar or Escudo in that area.
