| Set at the Four Seasons Hotel, Biscotti offers diners a bright and airy modern Italian restaurant with wooden tables and a burnt orange and cream interior recognizable from e.g. the cityscape of Rome. The manager is often receiving you at the door and make sure from the outset that you are made to feel at home. Biscotti features an open kitchen thus allowing you to watch as the chefs perform in the kitchen. Biscotti serves very tasty authentic Italian cuisine, opening with a great selection of starters like the soft-shell crab salad, with its mix of with green leaves, potatoes, fennel, and herb dressing. The crab comes with a Caesar sauce and mustard dressing. The pasta dishes, like the penne with lamb ragout, are all great, just like a good selection of meat and fish is available. Pizza is another area where Biscotti delivers with the focaccia with mascarpone and truffle oil being a specialty of the house. Deserts range from the familiar Tiramisu to more specialized delights like the frozen caramel cappuccino. Biscotti offers a good, all Italian wine list. Even without the wine, expect to pay around 2.8000 baht for dinner for two. For good Italian food, Bangkok fortunately has a lot to offer. One close by alternative is Matteo at the Intercontinental Hotel. The same cozy feeling is also given at Zanotti in soi Saladaeng or Rossini's at the Sheraton Grande Sukumvit. For a more energetic experience with live music, try out Ma Be Ba in close by soi Lang Suan while La Piola in Sukhumvit soi 11 offers a more homey local Italian experience. | |
