Set in the Sheraton Grande Hotel on Sukumvit road, Basil offer diners chic in-style surroundings, making this fairly small restaurant an excellent place to relax and unwind. Plants set on the wooden floor help to further the zen-style ambience and simplicity of the venue.
The food served is inventive, very well prepared and nothing short of delicious. Try the snow fish curry or the Som Tam or any of the other tasty choices. Food can be accompanied by wine taking form the list of more than 50 choices, mainly French.
Expect to spend around 2.500 for two people when dining here. Basil is open Noon-2:30pm and 6:30pm-10:30pm.

For fine Thai dining, Wyndham Thai on sukumvit soi 16 offers excellent food. For those more inclined for a slightly more contemporary take on Thai food, and a view, Long Table in the same soi is a possibility. Alternatively, try the well prepared Thai food of Lemongrass in Sukumvit soi 24.
