A few hundred meters down sukumvit soi 11 a portal and a green growth-covered tunnel leads you past a souvenir shop into the garden restaurant of Cabbages & Condoms. In this relaxing garden setting, with the occasional live traditional Thai music playing, you can decide to either sit inside or outside. No matter where you decide to have your dinner, do rest assured that the cuisine served is good traditional Thai food. Along with the food, you can enjoy drink, liquor or a selection of wine.

After a good filling dinner in this tranquil ambience, the will arrive. Instead of a dinner mint, however, you will receive a few condoms. This custom is alluded to in the restaurants name and is testimony to the role the restaurant founder has played in fighting AIDS and over population in upcountry Thailand – work that among other has been supported by the Melissa and Bill Gates Foundation. This work is also the reason for the somewhat peculiar, condom-based, decorations that can be found around this restaurant.

Dinner for two at the delighting and traditional garden restaurant that none-the-less is quite unlike any others, expect to pay around 1.400 baht.
