Located in a rebuild house on the corner of Sukumvit soi 11, Q bar is an institution in Bangkok nightlife. It is well known for its New York pouring drink sizes (4 cl), its extensive bar and cocktail menu and a staff well trained in the arts of drinks and service. Q bar is a New York style lounge club and recently had its second floor renovated. This has given the added bonus of having two different styles of clubbing available within the one venue.
If you want to dance, drink and really let go, downstairs with the large bar, the DJ and the dance floor is the place to let loose. Here the party is evergoing, well flueled by the good drinks and the cool loungy surroundings. Alternatively, venture upstairs and Q bar becomes more of a relaxed lounge where people hang out in seats and couches, either inside or on the very large balcony. This is a much more chilled out experience where people come, talk, enjoy their drinks and have the clubbing and the music more in the background, especially if sitting outside.
Q bar attracts a very mixed crowd of Thai’s and foreigners though on the Thai side, the majority are women.
Q bar is open every night from 8 pm until late, a time which depends on the political and police situation at the specific day, though expect around 2 am. The music schedule of Q bar currently looks as follows:

If you are looking for an alternative venue for Q bar, nearby Bed Supper Club, also on Sukumvit soi 11, is a logical choice. For a similar looking lounge decorating style, Glow on Sukumvit soi 23 can also be visited. Or you can add a dose of Latin to your groove and go to Tapas in Silom soi 4. For a similarly great cocktail, though in a more relaxed setup, head to Moon Bar at the Banyan Tree Hotel, Sathorn road.
