Located in Thong Lor soi 21, Song salung is an example of the way the typical Bangkok nightclubs has been upgraded and made much more chic while maintaining their party style and appeal.
When arriving at this venue, you first encounter the outdoor deck. This area is well suited for having a drink, and maybe some food, and generally relax and just watch the people come and go. With a generally beautiful Thai crowd there is plenty to look at and you will not be bored. Venturing on beyond the relaxed outer atmosphere, though the double doors and into the club itself, you are all of a certain in pandemonium. The music is loud, the crowd thick and there is bottles of whisky and dancing party goers every where. Whether there is a live band on or a DJ entertaining, be assured that the inside of the club will be well packed and that senses give up in the fuddled mass that is a good Bangkok night out. Inside is not for quiet conversation or philosophical after thought but if you are out to party with loud music and plenty of young pretty people, mainly Thai, look no further.
The crowd here is generally in their twenties, mainly Thai and for the most part sharing bottles of Whisky. Individual drinks and beers are available in the bar, but is not the norm.

Alternative clubs with similar style though slightly younger crowd include Slim and Route 66 in RCA. For similar mayhem try the party section of Escubar on soi Ekamai, or Booze in Thong Lor soi 10. Go slightly more quite at Escudo further up Thong lor, which coincidentally have the same owners as song salung.
